Could you tell us a little about Théoriz?

Théoriz is a creative studio dedicated to designing and producing interactive and immersive content for multimedia installations. By blending art and technology, Théoriz explores innovative approaches to enhance user experiences. Their expertise in interactivity, performance, 3D real-time graphics, and audiovisual systems allows them to craft spaces that are not only immersive but also participative and poetic.

What did attendees experience in the room?

Théoriz: Upon entering, visitors found themselves immersed in a reactive environment where the visuals on floors and walls responded dynamically to their presence. With particles glowing underfoot, light bursts triggered by touch, and ripples following their paths, every movement transformed attendees into co-creators of the artwork they experienced.

What technology powered the immersive space?

Augmenta: The space featured four of our state-of-the-art 3D network cameras for tracking interactions, ensuring smooth interactivity even in crowded conditions. Complementing these were four new-generation 2D LiDARs, enabling wall-based interactivity with precision down to a fingertip. These sensors connected to our tracking server, which handled processing, calibration, and data formatting to bring the immersive environment to life.

Christie: Projectors played a crucial role, with two illuminating the interactive floor and four creating dynamic visuals on the walls. This seamless integration of projection and tracking technology elevated the space into a truly audiovisual masterpiece.

What inspired the content?

Théoriz: We drew from our journey of crafting immersive experiences, showcasing a mix of contemplative and dynamic scenes. Whether creating tranquil ripple effects in “Utopia” or explosive, fiery vortexes, the visuals were tailored to respond intuitively to visitor interactions, making the experience immersive and deeply personal.

How would you describe the result?

Théoriz: The immersive room exceeded our expectations. Visitors engaged effortlessly with the interactive visuals, and many returned multiple times, sharing the experience with colleagues. It was gratifying to see our vision come alive with Augmenta’s system and Christie’s exceptional projectors.
